In a nutshell
Chainsaws have a variety of uses but can potentially cause serious accidents without proper training or because operating skills aren’t up to date. This qualification covers the overall daily and on-going mainteance of a chainsaw, sharpening the saw and cutting timber already felled to ground level. Cross-cutting includes the de-limbing process followed by cutting the tree into management sections.
This course teaches excellent health and safely practice and demonstrates your competency in using a chainsaw.
This qualification is your 'gateway' to other NPTC approved chainsaw qualifications, including the NPTC Felling and Processing Small Trees.
This course is for...
… a career as a landscape gardener, tree surgeon, woodland ranger or any number of outdoor jobs.
… refreshing your skills in maintaining and using a chainsaw.
