In a nutshell
The level 3 Beauty Therapy is for Level 2 learners progressing onto their Level 3 Beauty Therapy programme, or for therapists who are already Level 2 qualified, but did not complete their Level 3 qualification as part of their beauty training and progression.
It is also designed for beauty therapists already working in the beauty industry who would like to upskill to our new curriculum to offer new current trends of treatments in the workplace.
As part of the course requirements a one-day work placement in a salon or spa of your choice is essential to gain confidence and experience in your beauty therapy treatments. This will enhance your employability skills and provide you with industry experience.
This course is tailored for those who would like to progress and specialise in spa and CruiseShip requirements, as well as current beauty salons offering new up to date treatments. We are in working partnership with Steiner and local spas and salons in our local area, where we can provide work experience as an insight into future career prospects.
This course is for you if...
You want to progress to Level 3 Beauty Therapy, or if you have worked in the industry for many years and want to further enhance your range of beauty therapy treatments offered within your workplace.
What will I be doing?
In your course you will be carrying out:
- Intimate waxing
- Facial electricals
- Swedish body massage
- Stone therapy
- Level 4 Dermaplaning once all Level 3 aspects of the course are completed
What is expected of me?
You are expected to attend every session, work hard and carry out practical assessments on a paying client as the salon is a realistic training salon establishment. You will be required to carry out some hours of work placement as part of your course studies suiting your work life balance.
What comes next?
After completion of your Level 3 programme, there is an option for progression onto a Level 4 programme, where there is a possibility to open your own business, apply for cruise ships or look for alternative employment within the sector. The college has many contacts that we can direct you to after course completion.
Additional information
You will be expected to work on paying clients and bring your own client, where necessary, to complete practical assessments.
However, if there are external appointments booked in, these clients must always come first.
Code of dress:
