What will I be doing?
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to work in a creative job involving technology and to progress to a Level 3 course in a related subject area (e.g. creative media, interactive media, games design, graphics or photography).
You’ll build your understanding and practical abilities in a variety of processes and software and will complete a range of practical assignments. You’ll work independently and as a part of a team for practical assignments.
You’ll have access to the latest Apple Mac computers and Adobe Creative Cloud software, along with excellent up-to-date facilities.
You'll be assessed through research and analysis, written work, creative design, use of technology, problem solving, and evaluation. Upon completion, you’ll gain:
- OCR Level 2 Diploma in Media Production
- Appropriate supporting qualifications to broaden your skill set and meet the needs of industry
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
What is expected of me?
To enrol, you’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs, Grade D or above, to include either Maths/Maths Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language or an appropriate Level 1 Diploma qualification in the relevant vocational area, to include either GCSE Maths/Maths Numeracy or English/Welsh First Language.
You should be able to develop creative ideas and be willing to explore a wide range of technological processes. Full commitment to attendance is required, as well as respect for others, enthusiasm for the subject, self-motivation and a passion for the subject. There is also an expectation that you’ll continue your studies and coursework during your own time.

A range of Creative Level 3 Extended Diplomas, such as the Metaverse Design, OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma in Digital Media, Games Design, Photography or the BTEC Art and Design.
